Thomas D. Lane

Mr. Lane joined ThompsonMcMullan in December 2006.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lane spent two years as an associate at BeatyTiller in Richmond, Virginia, where he practiced civil litigation, including insurance defense, products liability and personal injury.  Following law school, Mr. Lane completed a pro se clerkship for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia in Roanoke, Virginia. 

Mr. Lane graduated from the University of Virginia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.  In 2001, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia. 

Mr. Lane’s practice is concentrated in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including commercial disputes, construction law, insurance defense and personal injury.

Mr. Lane is a member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, the Virginia State Bar and the Richmond Bar Association.  He is licensed to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court, the United States District Court - Eastern District of Virginia, the United States District Court – Western District of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
