Wilson Trice has extensive experience in the representation of parties in commercial lending, commercial leasing, and other commercial financing transactions, including syndicated bank loans, leveraged leases, synthetic leases, variable rate demand note issues (taxable and tax-exempt), letters of credit and factoring of accounts receivable. He has expertise as well in banking law, real estate law, consumer finance law, general corporate law and creditors’ rights.
Mr. Trice has been active in professional and community organizations. He is past chairman of the Corporate Counsel Section of the Virginia Bar Association and a member of the UCC Committee and the Commercial Financial Services Committee of the American Bar Association. He is the author of a compendium of Virginia commercial lending law prepared under the auspices of that Committee. He has lectured frequently in the areas of general commercial law, the UCC and lender liability law. Mr. Trice has served as a member of the Richmond Human Relations Commission and is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond. He is counsel to St. James’s Episcopal Church, a former senior warden and member of the Board of its Endowment Fund. He is active in many community organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Richmond, The Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Richmond, and The Westminster-Canterbury Foundation, on whose boards he has served.
A native of Richmond, Mr. Trice attended St. Christopher’s School. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1972 and from the T. C. Williams School of Law of the University of Richmond in 1976, where he was a member of the Law Review, the Chairman of the Honor Court, and was elected to Omicron Delta Kappa.

- Representation of agent bank in documentation, negotiation and administration of a syndicated $120,000,000 multi-currency revolving credit facility to an international management consulting and technology company.
- Representation of agent bank in a $50,000,000 cross-border (Canada) asset-based credit facility to a supplier of wood flooring and related construction materials.
- Representation of institutional lenders in several multi-million dollar real estate acquisition and development loans for residential subdivisions.
- Representation of corporate lessee in $16,000,000 leveraged lease of rail cars.
