Real Estate Paralegal

Overview:

ThompsonMcMullan, P.C. is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our Richmond, VA office.  The ideal candidate will have strong commercial real estate experience and some residential real estate experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating all aspects of a purchase, seller, and refinance transaction
  • Preparing closing disclosures using SoftPro
  • Preparing loan packages, funding experience, reading title binders, e-recording, and ordering title policies
  • Drafting deed packages, order payoffs, clearing title issue, and meeting with clients to sign seller deed packages

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in a professional services law firm
  • College degree and/or paralegal certificate and references preferred, college degree not required
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in SoftPro or similar software
  • Knowledge of PracticeMaster to maintain electronic records and billing or equivalent systems
  • Must be a Virginia notary or have the ability and agree to become one (Firm can provide assistance)
  • Willingness to be flexible as required to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, as this position deals with a high volume of work
