Real Estate Paralegal

ThompsonMcMullan, P.C. is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial real estate experience. The position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a commercial real estate purchase, sale, and refinance transaction. Job responsibilities include preparing closing documents, reading title binders, e-recording, ordering title policies, drafting deed packages, ordering payoffs, addressing title issues, and meeting with clients to sign closing documents. Applicable candidates must have the ability to work independently. You must be a Virginia notary or be able to become a Virginia Notary; the firm can provide assistance in becoming a notary. Candidates must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services while maintaining a high level of accuracy in written and verbal communication. This position is full-time or part-time (depending on qualifications), non-exempt and in-office.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in a professional services law firm
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Lift up to 25 pounds
