Adam Nelson, a long-time supporter and volunteer for Junior Achievement of Central Virginia, was one of five people named as a Volunteer Hero for this year. Adam has taught 28 classes for Junior Achievement over the past 13 years. He will be recognized at a luncheon on September 17th.
Junior Achievement of Central Virginia (JACV) is dedicated to empowering young people to own their economic success and succeed in a global economy. They provide the training and materials, and volunteers provide the experience. Through the volunteer network, JACV provides in-school and after-school programs for students focusing on three key areas: work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. JA offers over 20 programs for K-12th grade and serves 26,000 students throughout Central Virginia with help from 2,000 volunteers.
Congratulations to Adam and the other Volunteer Heroes of the Year for their dedication and service to Junior Achievement!
