A litigator who turned his passion for advocacy into a career
Growing up working in his family’s logistics company, Daniel learned the importance of straightforward communication and finding creative solutions from a young age. His family business taught him that every detail counts, a skill he carries through in the legal profession when providing counsel to each of his clients. After serving as a summer associate before his 3L year, Daniel then joined ThompsonMcMullan upon graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law.
An associate in the firm’s litigation practice, Daniel has experience representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes, adjudication of constitutional rights, and federal bankruptcy litigation. He serves as outside counsel for a variety of regional businesses and provides insight to companies in drafting, negotiating, and enforcing commercial contracts. Daniel routinely handles cases before Virginia state and federal courts, with a track record of advising individual and corporate clients through sensitive, high-stakes disputes and multi-jurisdictional matters.
Daniel also represents clients in construction litigation spanning each stage of the project, from pre-construction issues through completion and post-construction claims. His practice includes representing general contractors, subcontractors, and homeowners in a wide range of matters, including serving as outside general counsel, contract and lien drafting, litigating construction defect claims, and resolving payment and lien claims at the conclusion of a project.
