Appellate attorney John O’Herron has been selected to speak at a Virginia CLE session titled “Appellate Practice: Building and Perfecting Your Appellate Practice” geared towards attorneys looking to hone their skills. The all-day seminar will focus on the basics of appellate advocacy, introducing the mechanics of the appellate process, before covering more advanced insights into handling appeals, how to avoid the most common pitfalls in appellate courts, and provide insight into the perspective of appellate jurists. John’s session will be the first of the day’s speaking engagements, providing an introduction to Virginia’s appellate process. Other sessions will be led by esteemed appellate attorneys and judges from throughout the state, and an Assistant Attorney General. The seminar will be offered both in-person and virtually and attendees will receive 6.0 MCLE credits.
