Energy and Telecommunications partner Cliona Mary Robb will be speaking at a session titled “Virginia Clean Economy Act 3 Years Later – Challenges and Opportunities”. The conference, scheduled for December 5-7 in Charlotte, NC, is focused on Southeast renewable energy policy, procurement, and program frameworks and is hosted by Southeast Renewable Energy. Cliona’s session is centered around the development of interconnection, siting, and reliability while non-traditional renewables take root.
The goal of the conference is to report on current policies and incentive programs for various Southeast states by exploring the outlook for upcoming changes in policies and incentives, discussing economic development drivers for renewable energy projects, and providing overviews of utility procurements and future needs as identified in IRPs.
Consisting of three days of programming, the Summit will touch on how state markets are being impacted by changes in legislation, regulatory decisions, and procurement, and what can be expected in 2024.
