Attorney Rachel Adams is serving as a speaker at the Legal Update hosted by Richmond Society for Human Resources Management, scheduled for March 14th at the Science Museum of Richmond. This annual event provides guidance to those in Human Resource roles around the legal landscape and, more specifically, the public policies that impact the workplace. Rachel’s session, Navigating Legal Pitfalls in Performance Appraisals (or Evaluations), is one of five sessions that comprise the day-long conference and focuses on the skills needed to conduct effective and balanced performance appraisals and best practices to ensure legal compliance. The session will prepare participants to conduct effective performance conversations, provide clarification on performance appraisal frameworks and timelines, and explore the “dos” and “don’ts” of the appraisal process through practical case studies.
