Appellate attorneys Peter Askin and Tim Richards are scheduled to present a one hour CLE to the members of the Prince William County Bar Association on September 15, 2026. “Take the Expressway: Appealing Interlocutory Decisions Before a Final Order” will cover three areas:
- Virginia Appeals System Primer – this section will cover a quick overview the basics of Virginia appellate procedure and landscape, including the ordinary appeals process.
- Interlocutory Appeals at the Court of Appeals (“CAV”) – this section will cover methods and options to pursue interlocutory appeals to the CAV, which is Virginia’s intermediate appellate court.
- Interlocutory Appeals at the Supreme Court of Virginia (“SCV”) – this section will cover methods and options to pursue interlocutory appeals to the SCV, which is Virginia’s highest appeals court.
