The Virginia State Corporation Commission and the Virginia State Bar Administrative Law Section are hosing the 39th National Regulatory Conference at the Science Museum of Virginia on May 30, 2024. The Conference is comprised of a keynote session featuring The Honorable Mark C. Christie, Commissioner, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, followed by an Ethical Obligations in Revolving Landscape panel, featuring Energy and Telecommunications attorney Cliona Mary Robb. Cliona will be joined by Will Cleveland with Lighthouse Policy & Law, PLC and Will Reisinger of ReisingerGooch PLC, with the discussion moderated by Cale Jaffe, Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law.
The panel will focus on the revolving landscape of the administrative law bar, discussing conflicts, loyalty, and confidentiality questions for lawyers who migrate from party to party in regulatory proceedings before the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
The afternoon session is another panel discussion titled Forecasting Load in a Growing Economy, which will examine emerging sources of load and the implications for an energy mix.
